The story behind BECOMING™
BECOMING™ began with a simple realization: You can build a beautiful life and still wake up one day realizing you are becoming someone new. That moment isn't a crisis. It's the beginning of growth.
The day the pozole broke me
Josie Lopez is the creator of the BECOMING™ Framework — an entrepreneur, mother, first-generation professional, and lifelong builder. BECOMING™ grew from a deeply personal moment of reckoning she calls "the day the pozole broke me": a crisis of identity that came not from failure, but from success.
After building a career and a family and a life that looked right from the outside, Josie found herself in the kitchen making pozole — a dish tied to her roots, her grandmother, her culture — and feeling like a stranger in her own story. That moment cracked something open. It forced her to ask: Who am I becoming? And is that who I want to be?
Why BECOMING™
BECOMING™ is not self-help. It is a system built from the real experience of navigating growth across multiple identities — founder, parent, daughter, leader — at the same time. It exists because Josie couldn't find a framework that honored the complexity of building a life in the middle of living it.
This work is for builders
BECOMING™ is not designed for spectators. A builder is someone who chooses to live intentionally. Someone who refuses to drift through life on autopilot.
